Hi, I’m Evans and I’m so glad you have stopped by my blog on the enduring wisdom of the Tarot.  I fell in love with the Tarot almost 30 years ago when I first saw The High Priestess card.  A friend mentioned that the High Priestess was awakening in me----I had no idea what that meant and I needed to find out.  In 2003 my mentor and spiritual mother, Rachael Salley, taught me my first class in the Tarot and unveiled the mystery of the Minor Arcana for the first time as well as deepened my understanding of the Major Arcana.

I took Rachael’s class several more times as she taught my friends the Tarot and I really absorbed those wonderful lessons.  Rachael taught that the Tarot was passed from teacher to student in a lineage that transmits the energy of the Tarot as well as the knowledge.  I’ve added to that knowledge with many books and lots of hands-on experience.  Now I’m the teacher and passing what I know to the next generation of students who are drawn to the mystery of the Tarot.

I’ve been teaching and reading the Tarot for over a decade and feel it is time to dedicate a blog specifically to this enduring wisdom, a complete school of esoteric knowledge that has stood the test of time.  This is not just about a Tarot reading for right now but exploring the lessons, stories and experiences that the Tarot has taught for millennia, as far back as the ancient Egyptians. These same lessons can inform our current and future lives as we grow with this living wisdom.

I like to approach the Tarot with a story, a real-world experience and a spiritual lesson. We all learn best through stories and although a list of attributes is handy and important, I feel that we can expand on the basic meanings of each card with our own lives. The Tarot is practical wisdom for our everyday life as our souls are growing with our daily experiences and crave the meaning that the Tarot can provide.
